Laura DeLuca

Laura DeLuca, clarinet, has been a member of the Seattle Symphony since 1986. She helped found the Seattle Chamber Players in 1989. Recent solo appearances include a performance with the Seattle Symphony of Robert Starer’s Rikudim (Dances) movement from his concerto Kli Zemer. She has performed extensively on dozens of recordings, including more than seventy compact disks with the Seattle Symphony, and many movie soundtracks, including the solo clarinet work on the 1998 Oscar Award-winning documentary, The Long Way Home. Ms. DeLuca received her formal training at Northwestern University, where she studied with Robert Marcellus. She was the clarinetist in MOR’s commission of Paul Schoenfield’s Camp Songs, which is recorded on Art from Ashes, Volume I.
