Music of Remembrance Education
Music of Remembrance’s musical offerings are coupled with an active education program. Most Benaroya Hall concerts include related guest lectures. In addition, we develop educational materials and curricula for pre-college and college levels. Our expanded outreach includes programs sponsored by schools and civic organizations.
This season MOR's educational initiatives include Sparks of Glory, a free concert-with-commentary series at the Seattle Asian Art Museum, pre-concert lectures, Meet the Composer events, media presentations and interviews. For school-age children we have presented teacher training sessions, high school residencies, and field trips to dress rehearsals, besides providing guidance for selected independent research (including confirmation and B'nai Mitzvah projects).
