About Celia Y. Weisman

Celia Y. Weisman has over twenty years of experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, advocacy and community organizing. Her past professional work in Seattle includes serving as Director of Development for Spectrum Dance Theater, Interim Managing Director for Washington Community Alliance for Self Help (CASH), and Development Director for Social Justice Fund Northwest.

Celia worked for the National Council of Jewish Women, Philly’s Wilma Theatre and other organizations while living back east. As a young woman, Celia earned an undergraduate degree from Barnard College and a master’s degree from Columbia University, both in Religious Studies.

Celia is passionate about helping people come together to realize and sustain a shared vision. Deeply moved by MOR’s mission and community, Celia believes that MOR demonstrates humanity’s extraordinary capacity to transcend darkness, and transform pain into art that truly heals. She is excited and grateful to work for MOR.
