Shinji Eshima, composer of Veritas, is known to MOR audiences from our performance of his August 6th, a memorial of the 50th anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing, and his ballet RAkU, commissioned by the San Francisco Ballet, and performed by the Pacific Northwest Ballet in May 2018. His ballet Swimmer, also for the San Francisco Ballet, included video projections by Kate Duhamel. An accomplished double bassist, he is a member of the San Francisco Ballet and San Francisco Opera Orchestras, and on the faculty of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
